Institutional information

Clear identity. Verifiable claims.

This page explains NURU's identity as an independent process-control engineering research-lab startup and distinguishes internal research roles from legal registration, accreditation and external institutional recognition.

Public status statement
NURU is an independent research-lab startup in its founding phase. This site does not claim that NURU is a registered Kenyan nonprofit/PBO, an accredited research institute or a laboratory operated by a university. No registration or accreditation number is presented on this page.

Name and operating identity

“NURU Process Control Engineering Research Lab” is the public-facing name used on this website. The site describes the lab's research focus, leadership and intended technical programme. A public-facing name should not be interpreted as proof of incorporation, tax-exempt status, accreditation or formal recognition by a third party.

Research leadership

Bryan Onyango is identified on this site as the lab's founder and Principal Investigator. That role refers to research direction and oversight within NURU. It should not be read as a claim of employment or appointment by Moi University, another university, a government research institute or an accredited nonprofit institute.

Legal and nonprofit status

No legal entity number, PBO registration number, tax-exemption status or nonprofit accreditation is presented here. These claims should be added only after the relevant registration or approval has been completed and can be checked in an official record. The site does not represent a startup research lab as a registered nonprofit.

Affiliations and partnerships

NURU is presented as independent. No university, industrial partner, funder, sponsor, external board member or research collaborator is represented as endorsing or operating the lab unless that relationship has been formally confirmed and permission to publish it has been obtained.

Research outputs

Proposed work, experiments in progress and completed outputs are described separately. Publications, measured results, grants and deployments will be named only when there is a verifiable record. Readers should follow the links to the relevant public repository or report to inspect technical evidence.

Verification enquiries

For technical work, see the public GitHub profile. For external eligibility decisions, the reviewing organisation determines whether NURU's status, the PI's role and the research field satisfy its own published criteria. Website content alone cannot establish those determinations.
